Feather # 185 — Guinea Fowl

“I chose to use the hand-made pigment Rocky Mountain #6 for its earthy yet vibrant hues, giving the feather soft blues and warm browns that merge seamlessly across the surface. I enjoyed creating gentle transitions and delicate layers with varied brushstrokes, allowing the colors to dance across the feather's form. The subtle splatters and wisps suggest motion and renewal, capturing a sense of harmony and tranquility with each brushstroke.”  — Shayna, February 2024
