After painting "Bumble Bear" at a small size, I had a vision for this hopeful bear to be larger than life. I've experimented with a new color palette which beautifully compliments the earth pigment in his eye. Unlike the previous painting, this bear seemed so powerful at this size the he didn't need a bee to look at. What he's looking at is for the veiw to decide.
