Feather # 233 — Eagle

“I used my hand-made pigment, Minnesota Lake #1, to create a delicate feather that seems to float on the paper with soft transitions from rich charcoal to gentle sandy hues. Layering the paints, I let the brushstrokes guide me, creating an organic movement that feels both fragile and strong. The subtle splatters and drips add depth, capturing a moment of quiet strength like a whisper that carries more than words can say.”  — Shayna, July 2024
