Feather # 246 — Black-capped Chickadee

“In this painting, I blended earthy tones of hand-made pigment Marshall Fire #1 with fluid transitions from deep black to a soft mustard yellow, creating a gentle contrast. The feather's edges flow delicately with purposeful imperfections—soft splatters and drips introduce an organic movement, symbolizing resilience and enduring strength. My intention was to invite a feeling of guidance and curious exploration, capturing a sense of both grounding and insight gently cradled within nature.”
