Feather # 117 — Blue Jay

“In creating this painting, I carefully chose a palette featuring hand-made pigment Rocky Mountain #6, blending soft blues and earthy browns to capture a natural essence. I used gentle brushstrokes and subtle transitions to create a feather-like form, adding delicate splatters and drips to enhance the organic feel. As I painted, I aimed to create a sense of gentle harmony, allowing the colors and shapes to speak softly, inviting a calm and centered feeling.”  — Shayna, October 2023
