Feather # 282 — Hummingbird

“In creating this piece, I embraced the soothing blend of cool blues and warm browns to convey the delicate strength of the feather and the whimsical nature of the nearby bee. The gentle transitions and subtle layering were achieved with watercolor’s soft washes, allowing the colors to bleed into each other naturally, creating a sense of unity and stillness. My brushstrokes were careful yet fluid, capturing both the detail of each feathered strand and the playful dance of the tiny bee, inviting the observer to feel a serene sense of connection and calmness.”  — Shayna, November 2024
