Feather # 284 — Peacock

“In this painting, I embraced a palette of deep greens and blues, with hints of warm browns, allowing the feather to subtly morph as it ascends, giving it a sense of vitality and movement. I used delicate brushstrokes and soft edges to create a fluid transition from the feather's base to its vibrant splatters, each droplet symbolizing the strength and grace to rise above. The blending and layering techniques convey a story of overcoming challenges, with each layer adding to its subtle complexity, quietly reflecting an unspoken inner strength that many women can relate to.”  — Shayna, November 2024
