Feather # 294 — Northern Flicker

“I used a soft, earthy palette, enriched with my hand-made pigment, Rocky Mountain #5, to give the feather a grounded, natural feel. The gentle blending of warm browns and subtle pinks creates a sense of gentle movement, while the delicate brushstrokes evoke softness and resilience. As I painted, I felt a deep sense of renewal and nurturing, inspired by the feather's graceful embrace against the backdrop of subtle splatters and drips that echo life's gentle changes.”
