Feather # 11 — Northern Flicker Adult Red Shafted

“In this piece, I used gentle washes of sepia brown and soft pink to capture the simplicity and grace of a single feather. By layering subtle strokes and allowing the pigments to naturally blend and feather outwards, I created a sense of gentle movement and weightlessness. Each delicate splatter and drip is intentionally placed to convey the feeling of letting go, inviting you to look deeper and find understanding in simplicity.”  — Shayna, November 2022
